We had our last game before Senior Night and it was getting really crazy, because nobody really wanted to play. At half time, we had not scored and were down 14. I felt like we weren’t really trying, but then I guess everybody started to get mad when they realized the score. So, they started trying.
I intercepted the football 2 times in a row. I have real good hops, so I was able to catch the opposing team’s receiver. Jade, most experienced Senior had one interception. It was really crazy, because before she had got it, her mom yelled, “Come on number 8, get an interception!“ I felt like that was some real good luck that it had happened to her and she called it.
By the end, the we still ended up losing 20-24 to Encina High, but it was a very good game. Players on both teams got along well with each other. There was some jokes with the other team here in there, but Dr. J & Mr. Russo told us to run out the clock. You could really do anything if you really try, but nothing good will happen if you don’t try.
Next up is basketball season and I’m really excited because I love basketball, so I really want to play. I know our first game is scheduled for November 2nd and its an away game. I have already been practicing over summer. I know a few people also who will also be anxious to tryout. Can’t wait!
